Specifying RGBlink Videowall Controllers

Turn complex videowall requirements into clear, processing specifications & requirement. This practical, evidence-led course takes you from stakeholder requirements to an RGBlink processor specification.

Who should attend

  • AV consultants and system designers
  • Solution architects and pre-sales engineers
  • Senior integrators responsible for design review and technical submittals
  • Technical product specialists and CTS professionals

Before you attend

  • Working knowledge of AV signal flow and HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI and IP video
  • Ability to calculate display-array resolutions and familiarity with videowall/windowing concepts
  • Recommended: CTS-level knowledge or equivalent professional AV experience

What you will be able to do

  1. Document functional, operational, environmental and lifecycle requirements before selecting products.
  2. Calculate canvas dimensions and translate display geometry into output timing, mapping, scaling and synchronization requirements.
  3. Build an I/O inventory covering format, resolution, frame rate, colour, HDCP/EDID, transport, audio and future capacity.
  4. Determine layer, preview, scene, transition, control, monitoring, backup and service requirements.
  5. Select an RGBlink processor family, chassis and module set using current verified documentation.
  6. Create and defend a concept topology, bill-of-material basis, assumptions register and measurable verification criteria.

Your course agenda

  1. Module 1Requirements before products
  2. Module 2Display geometry and pixel-space design
  3. Module 3Signal and interface engineering
