RBL-SPEC-VC-101
Evaluation, scoring & awarding certificates
Specifying RGBlink Videowall Controllers
1. Evaluating learning
The instructor checks progress through a baseline diagnostic, discussion, knowledge checks, worksheets and practical observation. Formal completion assessment combines a written knowledge test with a practical task and design defence, aligned to the published learning objectives. In team exercises, observation and targeted questions establish each learner's individual contribution and understanding.
2. Scoring & passing requirements
- Written assessment
- An equally weighted selected-response knowledge test aligned to the course learning objectives.20 selected-response questions in 20 minutes, each of equal weight.
- Practical assessment
- A specification package and design review, marked against the practical criteria. The instructor observes individual contribution and uses targeted questions to verify learning.
Full credit: complete, correct, traceable and project-testable evidence. Partial credit: materially correct approach with minor omissions that do not invalidate the architecture.
All passing requirements must be met
- Meet the overall passing standard set for this course.
- Meet the minimum standard on the practical. A strong written result cannot replace the practical minimum.
Critical practical evidence
- Correct canvas and output basis
- Sufficient I/O and layer capacity
- Platform selection supported documentation
- Testable verification and acceptance criteria
3. Feedback & remediation
The instructor evaluates the answers/results. Where requirements are not met, missed objectives are reviewed and remediation uses alternate questions with targeted oral or practical evidence.
4. Reviewing & awarding certificates
- Record written, practical and overall scores, verify every passing requirement and critical evidence to obtain instructor sign-off.
- A certificate showing the persons name, course title and code, instructional hours, date, instructor is issued.
- Attendance alone, is not sufficient for a completion certificate.
5. Completion records & enquiries
RGBlink retains learner, course/version, completion date, instructor, attendance evidence, and certificate-decision records. For an assessment enquiry or certificate verification, contact RGBlink with the course code, completion date and certificate ID if available.
